We are so lucky to have someone like, Temple Grandin as a part of our educational community. Diagnosed with autism as a child, she gives us an introspective look into how her mind works, specifically demonstrating how she ‘thinks in pictures.’ She goes further to assert that the world would be at a loss without her type of thinking and that the we as a society are in need of all types of thinkers, visual thinkers (like herself), pattern thinkers, verbal thinkers, etc. I am so grateful that a woman, diagnosed with autism found her voice to help enlighten us into seeing the world as diverse place, with a multitude of ways to create and problem solve. Take a listen! I guarantee you’ll be inspired!
