I found this article and just had to share it. Elizabeth Gilbert, American author and novelist, who wrote Eat, Pray, Love, is at it again. She’s recently been speaking to thousands on Oprah’s The Life You Want tour. In this article, she invites women to stop comparing themselves to each other.
Instead she invites us to make mistakes and revel in the lessons we learn from these challenges. As we maneuver through our lives in our various roles, i.e. teacher, parent, spouse, partner, etc., I encourage you to support the women and girls in your life to lighten up on themselves and their colleagues and peers. Remind them what an outstanding job they are doing educating themselves, raising their children, bettering our communities. Our world needs more strong women, who are certain about their contributions to the world. Take a moment to forward this article to them and let them know just how precious they are.
